Baseball Bans Dressing Like Princesses
America's past time takes another blow. The new CBA between the league and the players has been settled and details are slowly leaking out before it is made public. One of these details is that a new anti-bullying initiative will be implemented which will put an end to rookie hazing such as making players dress up in female costumes. And wow, some people are pissed.
If you head over to twitter you can see numerous people clamoring about the pussification of America, and, by golly, they're right. I want my baseball players dressing up like women. If the guys on my team aren't dressing up like princesses and cheerleaders I don't even think I can enjoy baseball anymore. I am a red blooded straight American male, and it sickens me to know Major League Baseball won't let the players wear orange Hooter's short shorts anymore. Other costumes like Batman and Spider-man are reportedly okay, but not female characters. How else are the players supposed to show that they are real men? I thought we elected Trump for a reason, so things like this would stop and our manly men in sports can dress like hot pieces of lady ass. *Voice from the back* "Hey, what about a man who is transitioning to a woman?" No, that guy dresses like a man and uses a men's room. What is he one of those queero-sexuals in the LGBLT community? Now where were we? Oh right. Dammit, why can't I see stud pitchers in leotards anymore?
Baseball has been trending downward in popularity pretty much since steroids left the game, yet this is what gets people talking? If there's one thing I learned from this it's that baseball needs to start letting guys juice again and let them play in thongs. Apparently that is what people want.
As a fan the dressing up was amusing at times since the emergence of social media. As teams started to really embrace Twitter these "hazing" events started to get more creative such as the Mets making the rookies dress up as the teams from A League of their Own . It seemed like players didn't mind it, but who really knows? Ultimately, if this actually bothers you you are a bigger loser than Jeff Fisher, King of Losers. Just watch baseball every day out of spite to help the ratings, it could use the boost.
